Verulam U3A Trips/Theatre Events Policies & Disclaimer



It is the personal responsibility of everyone (that is, all who attend or travel) to decide on the level of their capability as to whether they should participate in any particular U3A theatre, trip and holiday.  Before joining, everyone must ensure that they are fully aware of the itinerary.

Please notify the organiser, at the time of booking for any coach journey, if you would like to have a seat(s) reserved due to special medical/physical circumstances and we will do our best to accommodate you.

All those who attend or travel, must also ensure that on every theatre, trip or holiday, they are responsible for their own personal insurance or personal travel insurance, because none is provided by the U3A.

If you put your name(s) down for any of these trips, this will be taken as a firm booking.

The Executive Committee have decided that anyone cancelling later than 6 weeks prior to the date of an event, or after the request for payment has been issued, will be asked to pay for the coach fare and any other costs incurred (e.g. entrance fees, deposits, theatre tickets etc.).

However, there will be no charge made if:-

1. There is a waiting list and someone else can be found to replace you.

2. If you are able to find a replacement yourself.

3. If the theatre, trip or holiday does not go ahead.

In the event that you have been unavoidably delayed, please phone the organiser of the trip on their mobile immediately, or when it is safe to do so.
