Monday p.m. Usually 1st week monthly


The Grumpy Old Men usually meet on the first Monday of the month but true to our disposition we sometimes change it. Adds to the grumpiness!

Group members take responsibility for each meeting that can be at any time of the day. Lunchtime or evening is preferred. We meet at a local hostelry to ensure that the grumpiness is not increased too much by travel.

Every member has to produce a grump that must have some humour and after a secret ballot the winning grump gets the title Grump of the Month. The member who has ‘won’ the Grump of the Month must proudly display the badge at all U3A meetings until he loses the title.
