BRIDGE FOR EXPERIENCED PLAYERS
We are a small, friendly Group for experienced bridge players playing Acol bridge at an intermediate/experienced level. Players understand the basics of the Acol bidding system and play at a reasonable pace, using bidding boxes.
We spend a friendly, enjoyable, and social couple of hours playing Chicago bridge. We also try to improve our bridge knowledge through playing and learning in line with the u3a “learn” ethos and we all help each other to achieve this.
If you are interested in joining the Group, then please contact the Group Organisers to attend one of our Group sessions for a free trial to see if you feel you are of a similar standard and would enjoy being a member of the Group. The final decision will be made by the Group Organisers.
This Group is run by VCV u3a and is a joint Group with Verulam and Chiswell Green u3a’s. Members from other u3a’s may apply to join the Group but will be required to become an Associate Member of VCV u3a by completing a form and paying an annual fee of £2.
As we don’t provide bridge teaching, the Group isn’t suitable for beginners or less experienced players.
